Credit for Prior Learning

Students may apply for credit transfer for prior learning, which may reduce the time taken to complete. QIBT may consider:

  • Formal study undertaken in recognised tertiary institutions in Australia, including universities, colleges, TAFEs and other post-secondary education institutions;
  • Programs delivered by recognised professional bodies, employers and other authorities, where appropriate certification is available; and
  • Demonstrable expertise and relevant experience.

Formal study undertaken at an overseas institution will be recognised to the extent to which it is considered to be equivalent to study at a recognised tertiary institution in Australia.

Students applying for Credit Transfer must complete the Application for Credit Transfer Form. Applications must then be submitted to QIBT by post, email or fax.
