If you're ready to apply to study at QIBT, there are a few things you should consider:
How can I upgrade my OP through QIBT?
Once you study beyond Year 12, your OP does not change. Instead, you receive a new, additional ‘Admissions Rank’. This rank is based on the Grade Point Average (GPA) you have achieved over the time you have been studying. Applicants who have completed one year of full-time QIBT study (i.e. who have completed their QIBT Diploma) are allocated a rank from schedule T4001. This means you are allocated the same rank as someone who has been studying a Bachelors Degree at University for one year.

Improving your admissions rank
As you can see in the rank improvement table, how one year of successful Diploma study at QIBT can make a huge difference to your Admissions rank. You may enter QIBT with an OP 18 or rank 60 but after only 12 months of study you can Graduate with your Diploma AND a rank of 93 (Equivalent to an OP 5) .

If you have not met the entry requirements for direct entry to university by completing a QIBT Diploma program you will be able to enter the second year of the GU degree the following year with full credit for one year. Entry to the second year is subject to achieving a Grade Point Average of 4.0 (except for Graphic Design).
