How do I apply?

Step 1
Complete Application Form. Please print out the Application Form (PDF format) and mail to QIBT. Alternatively call 1800 996 839 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

There is NO APPLICATION FEE and QIBT will aim to RESPOND TO YOUR APPLICATION WITHIN 48 HOURS

Step 2
Attach certified copies of all academic qualifications, including school reports and official examination certificates, and any relevant employment documents. Copies can be certified by:

• The official records department of the Institute that originally issued the documents.
• A Justice of the Peace or Notary Public.
• An authorised QIBT representative.

Step 3
Send your application to QIBT via email, by FAX: (+61 7 3735 6901) or by post (Queensland Institute of Business & Technology, Griffith University, Mt Gravatt Campus, 176 Messines Ridge Road, MT GRAVATT QLD 4122). If sending by fax, the originals must also be posted to QIBT.

Step 4

If your application is successful you will receive Letters of Offer for QIBT and Griffith University explaining the course you have been offered, the fees payable, and the course commencement date.

Step 5
In order to accept the offer of a place you must forward the following to QIBT:

• Signed Acceptance of Offer form
• Signed GU Refund Policy form
• Signed GELI Refund Policy form (if applying for the Mixed English and Academic Program)
• Meet all conditions of your offer
• Pay the fees as described on your offer letter

At this stage, if you ticked yes to accommodation or airport pick-up on the application form, you must complete the necessary forms and also pay the associated fees (see the table in the 'How much does it cost' section). Step 6
Payment of the amount due should be made payable to Queensland Institute of Business and Technology, by bank cheque or personal cheque. Payment may also be made by credit card (Bankcard, Visa and Mastercard only), EFTPOS at QIBT office or direct debit to the following account:

Students paying by direct debit must provide QIBT with proof of payment. Students paying by telegraphic transfer must fax a copy of the telegraphic transfer remittance advice to QIBT, stating name and student number on the remittance advice.

Step 7
On receipt of payment your place at QIBT will be confirmed in writing. You will then receive an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment form for QIBT and Griffith University which you must present to an Australian Diplomatic Mission in your home country when applying for a student visa.

Step 8
Residents of certain countries may need to obtain a Pre-Visa Assessment from the Australian Diplomatic Mission before making payment to QIBT. Sufficient time for the issue of a student visa, usually around six weeks, should be allowed before the commencement of the program. This time frame may vary from country to country.
