Biosciences are all about the processes and systems that create, sustain and threaten life.  It is one of the fastest developing branches of science today, with world issues such as BSE, GM food and human gene research constantly in the headlines.  QIBT through its association with Griffith University teach a well-designed, flexible and coherent degree pathway, taught by dedicated and enthusiastic staff, well-matched to the syllabus and clearly informed by industry and research.

The Diploma of Biosciences is designed to be a pathway program for international students to second year of a range of bachelor degree programs at Griffith University: Biomedical Science, Biomolecular Science, Biotechnology, Forensic Science (Biology major) and Science (Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences & Microbiology majors).

The program will essentially mirror first year of the relevant degree to enable students to articulate to second year of the selected Science program and aims to introduce students to the basic fundamentals of biosciences within a supportive learning environment.

In addition, it aims to commence the development of generic skills, including effective communication within the context of an Australian university.
