Criminology involves the study of the complex issues of crime and criminal justice. Criminologists work in federal and state justice agencies such as research and statistics institutes, police and courts. Correctional authorities also employ criminologists as researchers, assessors and policy advisers whilst others are in private practice providing consulting services for law reform, justice, forensic psychology, behavioural science, or crime statistics.

Griffith University was one of the pioneers of the criminology degree in Australia and provides students with a smarter path to a wide range of career opportunities in the criminal justice system.

Students enrolled in this program will undertake classes delivered by both QIBT and Griffith University. Classes will be held on both the Mt Gravatt and Nathan campuses.

Please note: This program has one February intake per year, and is currently available to international students only.

Duration: 2 semesters full-time (12 months)
