The Griffith University Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) is designed to be a bridging program for international students whose undergraduate qualifications do not meet the academic and/or English requirements for entry into relevant coursework Graduate Certificate or Master programs at Griffith University.

The PQP aims to provide you with:

  • an avenue to upgrade your undergraduate status to meet the academic and English language requirements of relevant schools/faculties for entry into Griffith University postgraduate programs
  • the knowledge, attitudes, values and competencies required for successful completion of studies at postgraduate level in Australia
  • the opportunity for successful integration into the Australian tertiary education environment.

The program seeks to identify and develop the following essential skills for successful study at postgraduate level:

  • self management
  • academic writing
  • analytical and critical evaluation
  • planning and development of papers, reports and oral presentations
  • problem-solving and decision-making
  • research.

 

Upon successful completion of the PQP, students are required to gain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.5 and a minimum grade of 5.0 for the course ‘Academic Communication for Postgraduate Students’ and a pass in all other courses in order to be eligible for entry to the relevant postgraduate program.  Some students may need to enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Business program prior to enrolling in the Masters degree.
