The Griffith University foundation program provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies. QIBT's Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies is designed to adequately prepare you for entry to university level programs in the Commerce, Design, Information Technology, Hotel Management, Engineering, Health, Science, Arts and Education fields. The Certificate IV consists of eight courses of study. Transition from the Certificate IV to a Griffith University Bachelor degree program requires you to have achieved a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.5. This standard will provide admission to the majority of Griffith University’s Bachelor degree programs. For some high demand programs, a higher GPA may be required. In addition to formal contact hours, QIBT provides you with extra support through individual consultation with teachers, tutorials in mathematics and English language, and 24 hour computer laboratories. Upon successful completion of the foundation program, students may also choose to progress to the QIBT Diploma program and then articulate into the second year of the relevant Bachelor degree program at Griffith University. As well as smaller classes and additional academic support offered in the Diploma programs, you can fast-track your studies with QIBT’s three semester academic calendar. Duration: 2 semesters full-time (8 months)
