1410ICT Introduction to Information Systems

What do you teach at QIBT?

Digital Graphic Design, and Computer Visualisation and Image Creation.

What do you like most about each subject?

We live in an increasingly visual world - from printed material to signs and web pages. The construction and meaning of these visual messages are a vital part of communication. Being able to create and deliver meaningful messages is exciting and challenging and as such is ultimately rewarding.

What else can you tell us about yourself?

Honesty is of the utmost importance to me. I have a passion for the creative arts which I want to share. I encourage students to be inquisitive, curious, and have a creative mind to explore the world whilst being guided by their own integrity and thus their designs will be original and honest. This is the only way to create valuable works of visual communication.

Your tip for university success:

Design is a competitive industry - to succeed at university and ultimately in the industry you need to be fully committed. The statement: 'the more you put in the more you get out', is very apt in this context. So when it comes to design, throw yourself wholeheartedly into the subject, have fun and the rewards will be worthwhile.
